Biography
CORMIER, Césaire. Pvt. Born 26 Aug 1840, St. Martin Parish. Son of Michel Onesime CORMIER & Céleste DUPUIS of St. Martin Parish. Married, age 20, Severine CASTILLE, daughter of Émile CASTILLE & Marie Adélaïde THIBODEAUX, St. Bernard Catholic Church, Breaux Bridge, 15 Jan 1861. Not in CSRC or Booth. The only record of his service in this unit is in his LA pension records. Buried St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery, Breaux Bridge; his UCV grave marker says he served in Company A, 26th Regiment Infantry, but there is no record of his service in that unit. // Hébert, D., Southwest LA Records, 3:158: Cesar CORMIER.
