Charles Cormier was born 1 Nov 1744. He was the son of Pierre Cormier and Jeanne Thibodeau. He was baptized 29 Nov 1744 at Beaubassin. His godparents were Claude Bourgeois and Magdeleine La Bauve.[1][2]
In 1755 he was deported to South Carolina with his parents and siblings. [3] He was recorded there on 12 August 1763 at age 20 on a list of Acadian families detained in South Carolina and wishing to go to a French Colony. [4]
