Biography

John was baptised on 8 Jan 1822 at Toseland, Huntingdonshire, the son of John Corn and Catherine Mitchell. [1]

In 1841 he was living in Toseland in his father's house, with his future wife also in the household - John Corn 59 ag lab; Catherine Corn 57; John Corn 20; James Corn 17; Jacob Corn 10; Posthuma Wooding 20. All except Posthuma born in county.[2]

He married Posthuma Wooding in Jun 1841 in St Neots, Huntingdonshire registration district[3]

In 1861 they were living in Toseland - John Corn head married 39 ag lab b Toseland; Posthuma Corn 39 b Turvey Beds; Mary Corn dau 19 b Toseland; John Corn son 14 b Toseland; James Corn son 9 b Toseland; Elizabeth Corn dau 4 b Toseland; Katherine Corn mother in law widow 76 b Graveley; William Corn brother unm 41 b Toseland [4]
