Richard was born to Richard Cornell and his wife in Scarsdale on 10 June 1708.
Richard Cornell married Mary Ferris on November 3, 1732 in Cow's Neck, Flushing, Long Island. The proposal for this marriage was recorded in the minutes of the Quaker Monthly Meeting in Mamaroneck on 9 March 1731-1732.
Richard and Mary had one child, Peter, born in 1732, in Flushing, or in Scarsdale.
Richard died in 1758, just one year after his father. His last Will was dated 28 May 1758 and proved 22 August 22 1758. He bequeathed half his property to his son, the rest to his wife while she remained a widow and thereafter to his son, less 200 pounds to be put at interest to benefit his granddaughter Mary.[1]
