Biography
Martha E. “Mattie” Bishop was born November 25, 1848 in Seneca County, New York, and was baptized on July 5, 1850. She was the daughter of Barent and Jane (Huff) Cornell. [1] [2]
Martha was married to Albert B. Bishop on March 16, 1869 in Richland County, Ohio, by Rev. W. W. Anderson. [3]
In 1880, her family was in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, where Albert was a Railroad Conductor. She had two children Lotta and Albert B. Bishop. [4]
Martha was listed as a next of kin of her Aunt, Maria (Cornell) Van Liew after her death in 1893.
Martha made her last will on August 27, 1896. She willed her household items and home at 119 Seymour, Cleveland, to her husband and after his death to her children Lottie J. Boggs and Albert B. Bishop. [5]
Martha Bishop died April 24, 1900. She is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio. [6]
