He married Lucretia Pigg Cornett 8 Aug 1823, in Clay County, Kentucky. Samuel Braxton Cornett passed away 27 Feb 1870, in Neosho River near Baxter Springs, Cherokee Nation, Indian Territory (Which is now Kansas).[1][2][3]
