Biography

Charles was born in about 1839 in St. John Horsleydown, St. Olaves, Southwark, Surrey, England. He was the son of Charles Corney and Eliza Jane Holman.^[1]

In the 1841 census Charles (age about 2) was living in St John Horsleydown, Surrey, England.^[1]

When Charles was about 38 he married Ellen Frances Humphrey on 13 September 1877 in Southwark, Surrey, England.^[2][3][4]

When Charles was about 42 he married Harriet Gunilda Gale on 17 September 1881 in Queensland, Australia. The couple had 8 children: Charles Corney, Fanny Corney, Fanny Corney, Charles William Corney, William Clemence Corney, Ellen Corney, Nellie Corney and Frederick Henry Corney.^[5]

Charles died at the age of about 71 on 30 March 1910 in Queensland, Australia.^[6]
