William was born on 1 January 1845 in Chester County, South Carolina, USA. He was the son of John Burrell Cornwell and Hannah (Colvin) Cornwell.
In the 1850 census William (age 5) was in Chester, South Carolina, United States.[1]
In the 1860 census Jerome was in Chester, South Carolina.[2]
William died at the age of 19 on 19 February 1864 in Chester County, South Carolina, USA, Killed Civil War. William was buried in the Colvin-Cornwell Cemetery, Chester County, SC, USA.
