Research Notes

Disputed Mother: A previous version of this profile reported Benjamin's mother as Mary (Cooper) Jagger (abt.1756-abt.1832). She was the daughter of Moses Cooper and Mary Coleman. However, two published sources show Mary's husband as Jeremiah Jagger of South Hampton.[3][4] No information was found within this profile to resolve this conflict. Benjamin Franklin Corwin has been removed as her son until supporting sources can be found.
