Birth estimated from 1824 or 1825-He was 6 months old when his father dies in 1825.

By her second marriage to Phineas Corwin on March 10, 1808 Mary had eight children named in order of their births as follows; John, Oliver, Daniel, Phineas, George, Thomas, Mary Ann, and Jacob. When her oldest child was 15 and the youngest but six months old, her husband died. Mary then moved with her family to Logan County, Ohio, settling in Jefferson Township. There she rented a farm about one mile south of Zanesfield. The family lived there for about five years, where she kept them together until they were grown and married. She lived to be sixty seven years of age and died in Rushcreek Township. She was widely and favorably known for her excellent and womanly qualities, was a devoted mother and a true and faithful friend.
