Thomas was born in 1874[1]. He died of influenza during the period of Spanish flu in 1919 at the young age of 45 (also written as 37 and 40)[2][3]. He was living in the house of his sister Mary and her family and husband, Thomas Collier, at the time of the 1911 census as a worker[4]. He was also recorded as a shopman on his death certificate[5].
