AUSTRALIA
I still call Australia home...
BERKHAMSTED
My gr gr grandfather was Henry Lazenby Costin, born in Berkhamsted, Great Britain. I would love to collaborate with others to trace his paternal (Lazenby) and maternal (Costin) lines. Did this branch of Costin come from Normandy at the time of William the Conquerer or Scotland (MacAusten or derivative)? Where did the Lazenby’s come from?
CORNWALL
My great grandmother was born Emily Pollard near Ballarat, Australia. Her parents and 11 siblings came from St Just in Penwith, Cornwall. We can trace as far back as Jehu Pollard of Morvah and Madron, Cornwall, buried 6/3/1709 in Madron. Would love to solve the riddle of Jehu’s birthplace, his ancestry and unusual naming.

OATLANDS
My maternal grandfather Joseph Richard William Smith was born in Oatlands, Tasmania on April 1, 1901
POLLARD
My great grandmother’s paternal line. We can trace as far back as Jehu Pollard of Morvah and Madron, Cornwall, buried 6/3/1709 in Madron. Would love to solve the riddle of Jehu’s birthplace, his ancestry and unusual naming.
SMITH
Smith is my maternal grandfather’s surname. He was born in 1901 in Oatlands, Tasmania. We cannot trace his family tree beyond his grandfather William Smith as this Smith family were free settlers to Tasmania apparently and records of free settlers were limited. My grandfather told my mother the family may have come from North America.
TASMANIA

Hi ,

You've been a member of WikiTree for about a week so I thought I would check in to see how it's going. The New Member How-Tos are for you to work at your own pace. If you had a chance to review any of it, was it helpful?

If you have questions about how WikiTree works, I'm here to help. Just click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page. I'll get back to you by the end of the day.

PS Is the data on the existing profile for Jehu Pollard consistent with your research?
