Biography
Achille Cote was born on 21 May 1842 and was baptized the next day in Saint-Jean-Baptiste parish in L'Isle-Verte, Bas-Canada. He was the son of David Cote , farmer, and his wife [[Baillargeon-393}Marie Therese Baillargeon]] of this parish. Godparents at Achille's baptism were Antoine Dubé and Adélaïde Frau (?). At age 25 Achille married Flavie Miville on 19 Feb 1871 in Rimouski (contract by notaire Charles François Lapointe). There were 12 children born into this marriage.
