Biography

John was born in 1872 in Cloonanaha near Inagh, County Clare, Ireland, the son of William James 'Liam Ban' Cotter and Honora 'Norah' Barry. He lived all his life helping on his parents' farm in Cloonanaha. He never married or had children. John died of pneumonia in Cloonanaha in 1919 at 47 years of age. He is buried with other family members in the Inagh Cemetery in Inagh, County Clare.
