Biography

Frances Laura Snodgrass Cotter (married name Smith) was born on 16 January 1839 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, the daughter of Inez Seville (Fitzgerald) Cotter and Barry Cotter.

She was christened on 11 February 1839 at St James Melbourne.^[1]

She was married to William Henry Smith. Their children were:

• Seville Suzette Smith (1867–?)^[2]
• Leslie Snodgrass Smith (1870–1965)^[3]

Frances died in 1878 in Victoria, aged 39 years.^[4]
