Caroline A. Cotton, daughter of Samuel[1] and Ann (Powers) Cotton, was born on 9 Oct. 1812 at Middletown, Middlesex County, Connecticut.[2][3]
She married George E. Pelton, son of Samuel and Sarah (Bailey) Pelton, on 1 Nov. 1831, or 1 Jan. 1832 at Middletown, Middlesex County, Connecticut.[1][4] George died in 1855.
She appeared on the census of 11 July 1860 at Portland, Middlesex County, Connecticut.[5] She appeared on the census of 15 June 1870 at Portland, Middlesex County, Connecticut. Her son Alfred was listed as head of household.[6] She appeared on the census of 11 June 1880 in the home of her daughter at Meriden, New Haven County, Connecticut.[7] She appeared on the census of 4 June 1900 in the home of her daughter at Meriden, New Haven County, Connecticut.[8]
Caroline died on 3 June 1908, probably in New Haven County, and was buried at Plot: Section: Maple Avenue, Plot: 775, Grave: 4, Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut.[3] Her memorial has her date of death.[9]
