Biography

Dugdale noted that John Sheldon had married the daughter of [this] JOHN COTTON of Cotton Hall in Cheshire.

Cotton Hall (formerly listed under the parish of Cranage) is today off Middlewich road in the parish of Holmes Chapel, East Cheshire. It is a superb late C15 origins building with late C17 alterations and C19 and C20 additions (the latter two of minor importance).
