Talitha was born in 1830. She passed away after 1900.
Disambiguation
There is some confusion about Talitha’s name.
The maiden name given on one of her children’s birth records is ‘Molin”. At least two of her children have the name “Molin” in their death records. All others are listed as “Couch” or some spelling variation. This was likely a misunderstanding of the information being asked of the person giving it. The question “Mother’s maiden name?” was taken literally to mean HER mother’s maiden name, which was Anna Mauldin, wife of Hiram Couch.
Her first name is Talitha, not Tabitha. This name is passed on to subsequent generations. “Tabitha” is a transcription error that has been picked up and repeated.
