the son of Nathaniel Covel Canfield and Mary Catherine Kincart,
on December 27, 1899
at the home of Jessie's parents in Beaver Township, Cowley County, Kansas.

Jessie died at the age of 87 on September 19, 1964 in Arkansas City, Cowley County, Kansas.
She was buried in Riverview Cemetery in Arkansas City.
