Charles Coulson was born about 1894 in Withington, England [1]. His parents were Thomas Coulson and Elizabeth Bennett.[2].

The Common Weath War Graves Commission web site has several records for Charles Coulson but is scant on details such as date and place of birth, which renders identification difficult. However FindMyPast has a record for a Charles Coulson, born in Withington, Lancashire [4]. This gives his service number of 5538. This can be used on the CWGC site to find the relevant record.
