In 1841, 15 year old Thomas Coulson, born in Great Glen, was working as a frame work knitter and living in the house hold of John Jordain on Chapel Street in Sheepshed.[1]
In 1861, Thomas Coulson (36) and children John (10), Whybra (9) and Harry (6) were living at Black's Yard in Great Glen. Thomas is listed as married, but no wife on census.[2] In 1871 Wybra and older brother John lived with Thomas and Elizabeth at Weaver Street in the pariish of Glen. Thomas and John were farm labourers and Whybra was working as a stitcher.[3] 1881 saw Thomas and Elizabeth living on their own in a factory house in Great Glenn. Thomas was employed as a railway labourer.[4]
Thomas Coulson died at the age of 61 with registration in 1887 at Billesdon, Leicestershire.[5]
