Reg Countryman Passes at South End Hospital-Popular Citizen of South Porcupine District Dies.
The town was shocked to hear this morning of the death of Mr. Reg Countryman in the local hospital. He had been taken there two weeks ago suffering from typhoid fever. Four other occupants of the same house in Dome Extension are still in the hospital but are recovering. Reg was a quiet and popular lad among his fellow workers at the Dome (Mine) and regret is generally being expressed at his sudden passing. About thirty-two years of age, he had lived the last twelve years in town and at the Dome. He is survived by a brother Gordon of Dome Extension, and two sisters Blanche and Edna in the United States. His body was taken to Walkers Undertaking Parlors from whence on Sunday it will be shipped to Morewood for burial. ~from obituary[1]
