Biography

Nellie was born ca. 1871 in New Jersey to William Penn Coursen and Emma Coursen.^{[citation needed]}

Her mother died in 1877, and in 1880, Nellie, her brother and her father are living in Stillwater, Sussex County, New Jersey in the household of her widowed paternal grandmother, Phoebe.^[1]

On 30 Aug 1893 Nellie married Joseph Hampton Roy in Fredon, Sussex, New Jersey,^[2] and in 1910, Nellie and Joseph are living in Fredon, Sussex County, New Jersey with four children -- William, Lawrence, Mildred and Elizabeth.^[3]

Nellie died ca. 1958 and is buried in the Yellow Fram Church Cemetery in Frelinghuysen Township, Warren County, New Jersey, United States of America.^[4]
