1837 Andrew is born on 25 July in Licking County, Ohio to Elizabeth (Shanafelt) and Benjamin Courson.[1]

1850 Andrew (13) is living in Marion County, Illinois with his mother and five siblings: Catharine (18), Susannah (11), Isaac (10), Sarah (8) and David (6).[2]

1860 Andrew marries Eliza Rotrock on 3 March.[3][1]

1864 Daughter Mary was born on 1 January in Marion County, Illinois.[4]

1867 Son Benjamin Allison is born on 22 August in Illinois.[5]

1870 Andrew and Eliza are living in Marion County, Illinois. Their household includes three children: Mary E. (7), Benjamin A. (2) and David I. (0).[6]

1880 Andrew and Eliza are living in Meacham, Illinois with four of their children -- Elizabeth, Ben, David and Noah -- and Andrew's mother, Elizabeth.[7]

1893 Andrew's father, Benjamin, dies on 13 March.[citation needed]

1894 Son Noah marries Laura Slagley on 7 October in Marion County, Illinois.[3]

1910 Andrew is widowed and living in Meacham, Marion County, Illinois with his son Benjamin.[8]
