Biography

Jane was the daughter of William Courtenay and Elizabeth Paulet.

She became the first wife of Nicholas Parker under licence issued 20 January 1572/3.^[1]

According to the memorial to Nicholas, there were no children from this marriage.^[2]

Jane Courtenay, died young?

This profile originally had a death date of 1553 at the age of 2.

Although it is entirely possible that William Courtenay and Elizabeth Paulet, had a child or children that died at a young age, there is no evidence for such children and in particular no evidence that their daughter Jane died aged 2. The only evidence is for a daughter who married Nicholas Parker, as in the above biography.
