Laura Georgina Courtenay was born on 26 April 1861.[1][2] She was the daughter of Laura Samuda and Major George Henry Courtenay.[1] She was married twice, firstly to the Hon. Hugh Leslie Courtenay, son of the Lady Anna Maria Leslie and the Reverend Henry Hugh Courtenay, 13th Earl of Devon, on 31 March 1880.[1][3] They were divorced in 1884..[1] She was married for a second time on the 7th of February 1885 to Reginald Latham Workman.[1][4][5] She died in 1947.[1][6][7]
