They immigrated to America in 1855.[1] There they became the parents of Dr. Charles Courtice Alderton, William George Alderton, Harry Arnold Alderton, Emily (Alderton) Osborn, and George Hardy Alderton.
Hephzibah died at Fulton Ave. in Brooklyn, New York on 24 October 1870[2] "leaving 5 little ones".[3] She was buried on 27 Oct. 1870 [3] at Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, Kings County (Brooklyn), New York.
