Robert (Bob) Courtney was born in 1884 at Ballymacmary, Killead, County Antrim, Ireland. He was the son of Henry Courtney and Annie Dawson.[1]
Bob was a twin to his brother Francis known as Frank.
Bob went to Perth, Scotland as a young man and worked as a coachman to a titled family. He then tranferred to another Estate in Stafford, Staffordshire, England. His sister Alice, often spoke of him.
