Kitty was born in 1804.

Birth and Baptism

Kitty was born 20 August 1804 and baptised in New Shoreham, Sussex 30 September of that year. Her parents were James and Mary Courtney^[1]

Marriage

Job Wadey and Kitty Courtney were married in New Shoreham, Sussex 15 February 1826. Their witnesses were Rodah Chaves and Thomas Courney ^[2].

Job and Kitty had the following children together:

• James born Billingshurst about 1826
• Harriet born Billingshurst about 1828
• George born Billingshurst about 1830
• Henry born Billingshurst about 1834
• Ann born Billingshurst about 1837
• Alfred Courtney born Billingshurst about 1838
• Elias born Billingshurst about 1842
• Charles Frederick baptised Billingshurst 1843 died Wisborough Green 1856
• George born Billingshurst bap Wisborough Green 1846
• Eliza born Wisborough Green about 1847

In 1841 Job and Kitty were living on Denmans Hill, Billingshurst with their sons Henry and Alfred^[3]

In 1851 Job and Catharine were living in Wisborough Green with five children. Job and Henry were wheelwrights^[4]

In 1861 Catherine and Job were living in Wisborough Green with their children Henry, George and Eliza. At the time of the census a visitor, William Tester, aged 17, was staying with them^[5]

Death

Catherine Wadey died aged 58 and was buried in Wisborough Green, Sussex 19 March 1863^[6]
