Charles Courtney is born in 1820 in Brighton, Sussex, England [1]. His parents are Thomas and Anne Courtney.
He becomes a tailor. On December 27, 1841 Charles marries Jane Elizabeth Earl Lansdell in Hove (Hove is in Brighton) [2]. They have one child:
• Clara Jane Courtney 1842-1869
Charles dies the year after Clara is born. He is buried in Brighton on May 8, 1843.
