George William COURTNEY^[1]

George was born before 6 March 1814 in Middlesex, England. He was the son of Thomas Courtney and Sophia (Genge) Courtney.^[2]

George was baptised on 6 March 1814 in Holborn St Giles in The Fields, Middlesex, England.^[3]

In the 1841 census George (age 27) was living in St George Hanover Square, Middlesex, England.^[4]

In the 1851 census George (age 37) was living in Middlesex, England. He was employed as a Shopman. St George Hanover Square^[2]

In the 1861 census George (age 47) was living in Middlesex, England. He was employed as a China Dealers assistant. St George Hanover Square^[5]

Probate from the estate of ??? was granted on 11 April 1862 in Principal Registry.^[6]

In the 1871 census George (age 57) was living in London, St Pancras, London, England. He was employed as a Retired tradesman. May not be him - brother Thomas in 2 census^[7]

In the 1891 census George (age 77) was living in Richmond, Surrey, England. Unmarried^[8]

George died at the age of 82 between December 1896 and March 1897 in Richmond, Surrey, United Kingdom. Age at Death: 85^[9][6]
