Buefort was a shoe maker by trade, which he learned when he was a young man as an aprentice, and he was supposed to be one of the best workman in his day, making of fine shoes and fine boots. Buefort with his family immigrated to Randolph Co. Ind. in the year 1856, where he bought out her brothers and sisters share of the Estate of the Edward Thurber farm of 165 acres of land where he still worked at the shoe trade, while the boys run the farm. for many years or during the remainder of his life.
