Nicolas Courtois, son of Louis Courtois and Jeanne Perin, was born on 8 May 1756. He was baptized the following day in St. Coulomb, Ille-et-Vilaine, Bretagne, France.[2]
Charlotte Marie Pitre and Nicolas Courtois married on 11 December 1785 in New Orleans, Louisiana, New Spain,[3]
about a week after their debarkation from the Spanish ship La Ville d'Archangel at New Orleans.[4]
Charlotte died between 2 Jul 1788 and 24 Aug 1788, the dates her daughter, Marie Courtois, was born and baptized. On the child's baptism record, Charlotte was said to be deceased.[5]
Nicolas quickly remarried to Marguerite Josephe Thibodeau on 6 September 1788 in Pointe Coupee, Pointe Coupee Parish.[6]
Nicolas died March 1826 in East Baton Rouge Parish, and was buried in the city of Baton Rouge on 3 March 1826.[7]

I changed the marriage date to Charlotte Pitre to agree with the source. He also married Marguerite Josephe Thibodeau 6 Sep 1788 in Pointe Coupee, Pointe Coupee, LA after Charlotte died.
