Biography
Martha was born on 1 March 1784 and baptized on 6 June of that year.[1] The baptism record names her as Martha Trueman and states: "an illegitimate child, daughter of Sarah Trueman, daughter of John Trueman of Bilsdale, farmer, and Anne his wife, daughter of Jn Garbut." She married John Bell on 26 February 1811.[2]

Martha's last name at birth should be changed to Trueman. Her baptism record names her as Trueman, states that she was illegitimate, and lists only her mother; she is named on her marriage record as Martha Trueman. I have not found any record that names her Martha Cousins.
