From "the Daily News, Frederick". May 23, 1912: Mrs. Sophia Cover Hoffman, widow of the late William Hoffman, of near Mt. Zion, died last night at 9:30 o'clock, aged 84 years 6 months and 17 days. The funeral will take place Saturday at 10 a.m. at Mt. Zion. M.R. Etchison, of Jefferson, has charge of the funeral. Age 84 years 6 months 17 days
