Obituary
Son of W.A. Covington Killed In Accident
Thomasville, GA, May 25 - Funeral Services were held Thursday morning in Meigs from the home of Mrs. J. L. Pilcher, a sister, for Mr. Sidney Covington, 35, who was almost instantly killed Tuesday afternoon when thrown from his automobile on a highway near Clermont, Florida, his neck being broken. Rites were conducted by Rev William Swoll Sawyer, pastor of the Meigs Methodist church, assisted by Rev. Albert Rees, of Valdosta, a former pastor of the deceased at Moultrie, and Rev. W. A. Kelley, present pastor of the Moultrie Methodist church. Interment was at Meigs. Besides his widow and a four year old daughter, Elizabeth, he is survived by his parents, Judge and Mrs. W. A. Covington of Meigs; sister, Mrs. J. L. Pilcher of Meigs; two brothers, Phillips S. Covington, of Meigs, now a student at Emory University, and William A. Covington, Jr., of New York.
His parents formerly lived at Moultrie for many years where he was reared.
