Miles was an early-married father, apparently, and in maturity he oversaw a plantation. (I read that several years back and do not remember where.) The Covington surname appears on many records for him, and yet if Covington were his birth surname, how then did the Terry name surface? Covingtons and Terrys were very proud people.
Until I solve this problem, my family's link to the Covington family is less secure.
Photos of gravestone and old gate into overgrown area that once was family burial site at Caney Creek are found on ancestry.com and Find A Grave sites, as is a headstone and a shadowy image of his wife, Margaret/ Marget Peggy Weeks.
