Third-generation Washingtonian. I've lived in King County, Washington USA all my life, and love it here. My husband Bob and I raised our kids here, and now have a grandson too. I'm a life member of South King County Genealogical Society and lead the SKCGS Publicity team.
I grew up south of Issaquah, and attended Issaquah schools kindergarten through high school. Clark Elementary (5 years), Sunny Hills and Sunset schools for one year each, Issaquah Junior High and Issaquah High School, class of '71. Later I got a chance to attend Green River Community College, earning my AA in 1987? or so. And finally, a year at the UW in Anthropology and Women's Studies.
Besides genealogy, I read everything, and love technical writing. Active member of both the Kubuntu and larger KDE community which produce and distribute free software (Linux). Active and enthusiastic PFLAG member.
You'll find my online trees at Rootsweb, MyHeritage and here at Wikitree.
I love people, art, drama, music, drawing, painting, pottery, photography.
My genealogy blog and index. I also publish a Linux blog and have edited two books for KDE.
Other links to my stuff all over the web are at about.me

I have a lot of German heritage besides my great-grandparents.
I have pretty much finished entering the Coppin's. They are only distantly related to me, and that by marriage. And I shall soon be bumping up on my 5000 limit and needing to divest profiles. So if you would like to be profile manager for these profiles, just send a trusted list request for one of my Coppin's and I will transfer them. Otherwise I will likely just be 'orphaning' them anyway.
Please set your preferences for your Tags Followed to include DNA on the GenealogistToGenealogist (G2G) feed: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:Following
If you are adding any DNA tests to profiles on WikiTree, please be sure to add the tests to the actual test participant's profile, and that the Privacy is set to show the participant's Family Tree tab.

Thank you for joining WikiTree. As a WikiTree Mentor I am available to answer any questions or help solve any issues you may be having.
How To Use WikiTree is a good starting point, and the Help Index is an important place to find out how to do most tasks.
Do you have Royal Ancestors? They are already here on Wikitree! Rather than create duplicate profiles for them, please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their profiles.
Feel free to ask me via my profile page if you have any questions.

I noticed you uploaded a GEDCOM; thank you so much! Here's a link to a great step-by-step explanation of the process, including screenshots that you might find helpful.
The help pages give lots of information about the process, good to start with 'Before you import a GEDCOM'.
