Glen was born in Murray Bridge, South Australia on 9 January 1924 to John Lancelot Cowan and Florence Annie Maud Yates.[1] The following birth notice was published in the South Australian newspaper, The Register, on 30 January 1924:[2]

COWAN.—On the 9th January, at Murray Bridge, the wife of J. L. Cowan, Glen Lossie—a son.

Glen died in Murray Bridge, South Australia on 10 May 1925 at the age of one year.[3] The following death notice was published in the South Australian newspaper, The Register, on 12 May 1925:[4]

COWAN.—On the 10th May, at Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Murray Bridge, Glen Edgar, beloved only son of Jack, and Florrie Cowan; aged 16 months.

Glen was buried at the Murray Bridge Cemetery in Murray Bridge, South Australia, Australia on 11 May 1925.[5]
