Biography

John was born on 22 December 1892 in Dover Township, Kent, Ontario, Canada. He was the son of Patrick John Robert Cowan and Annie (Devine) Cowan.^[1]

When John was about 25 he married Clara Regina Kaufman in 1918 in Saint Joseph's Catholic Church, Chatham, Kent, Ontario, Canada.^{[2] [3]}

John was buried on 9 October 1976 in Saint Marys Catholic Church, West Lorne, Aldbourough, Elgin, Ontario, Canada.^[4]
