Mehitable (Cowee) Lawrence was born in Massachusetts.

Mehitable, the fifth daughter and sixth of fifteen children of James Cowee and Susannah Baldwin was born in 1791 at Gardner, Massachusetts.

Marriage and Children

Mehitable married as his second wife Stephen Lawrence (1780-1853), the son of Charles and Naomi (Stone) Lawrence on 24 March 1812 at Ashby, Middlesex, Massachusetts.^[1]They had at least one child:

1. Stephen M. Lawrence (b. 1814; d. 1870), m. 1839, Mary Ann Kendall (1815-1863)

Death and Burial

Mehitable (Cowee) Lawrence died on 13 April 1868 in her 77th year at Ashby, Massachusetts.^[2]She is buried in the Ashby First Parish Burial Ground at Ashby, Middlesex, Massachusetts.^[3]
