Biography
John Cowper was the son of Sir William Cowper, 1st Bt. and Martha Master.[1][2] He married Martha Hewkley, daughter of George Hewkley.[3] He died before 1664, in prison.[4]
He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn on 20 January 1631/32.[5] He was imprisoned for his loyalty to King Charles I.[6][7]
