I was born on September 7, 1965 in Henderson, Auckland, New Zealand. My parents were Rowland Leslie Cowper (1931 - 2022) and Lynette Ann (Boyland) Pascoe (1946 - 1997).
My brother is Grant James (Cowper) Pascoe (1969 - living). Grant and I changed our surname to Pascoe following our mother's marriage to Brian in 1977.
I married Lynda Bernadette Brown (1966 - living) on March 28, 1987 in Tokaanu, Taupo, Waikato.

Having recently retired from military service, I have taken up a new hobby of researching my family tree.
My maternal and paternal DNA has been confirmed through testing with Ancestry.com and expanded through FamilyTreeDNA.com.[1][2] DNA results from FamilyTreeDNA.com are:
For curiosity reasons, I also ran my DNA profile through MyHeritage.com, 23andMe.com and LivingDNA.com to see what differences might exist in my DNA heritage analysis. A breakdown of these findings are illustrated in the tables below.

Kia ora Dean,
The time has come again for the Connect-A-Thon, and we would be thrilled if you could join the Kiwi Crew once more. It's a breeze to participate—all you have to do is craft fresh profiles for individuals who have yet to be linked, and hopefully, they'll connect with the World Tree.
To sign up, head to the post, where you'll receive your Connect-a-Thon badge and be added to the team. When registering, please don't forget to mention the Kiwi Crew.
For additional details, please take a look at the Kiwi Crew Team page.
Happy WikiTreeing!
Campbell
After a long break, we are now getting the New Zealand Project back in action. I notice that you are already a member of the Kiwi Crew Discord server. This is where we are discussing how the project will be organised, though any major changes will be signposted in G2G. (Make sure you follow the new_zealand tag).
Fiona - New Zealand Project Co-ordinator (Membership)
Hi Dean,
A group of Kiwis participate in Wiki-Thons four times a year, and we have one coming up in July and we would like to invite you to join the KiwiCrew in the upcoming Connect-A-Thon. Participation is easy, simply create new profiles for unconnected people and with luck, they will connect with the World Tree.
Simply post an answer on this Post saying "Yes, I'd like to participate with the KiwiCrew". Once registered, you will receive your Connect-a-Thon badge.
For more information, view the Kiwi Crew Team page
Happy WikiTreeing, Campbell
Thanks for taking responsibility for the Orphaned Profile. This After Adopting Orphans FAQ explains the special attention adopted profiles will sometimes need from their profile managers. One quick way to find the profiles you adopted is by searching your Contributions List for the word "adopted" and "manager." You can find a quick link to your Contributions List in the My WikiTree dropdown menu.
Let me know if you have any questions on how to find and record sources, merge duplicates, clean up GEDCOM biographies, and interpret the Suggestions report. I'm here to help!
Debi
PS If the profile needs GEDCOM cleanup, the AGC tool can help with formatting so that you can concentrate on the research. You can read more about it in the WikiTree AGC FAQ.

It’s time for a Project check-in!
Scotland Project Leaders check in with you at least once a year to see how you are doing. With the changes happening around the world, we understand that life is hectic right now.
What are you planning to work on for the Scotland Project this year? Are you happy with the team(s) you part of, or would you like to make some changes?
This time round, we’re also looking for feedback on the use of Google Group and Discord. Do you use one or both of these? If you don’t use either of them, what is the best way to ensure you receive Project communications? If you would like to join us on Google Group or Discord, let us know in your response.
As a member of the Scotland Project, we'd love to have you join the Twisted Thistles in the upcoming Connect-a-thon the weekend of July 17 - July 20. If you'd like to join us and help to develop our ever-expanding Scottish tree, please register on the G2G post here and be sure to mention you'd like to be on the Twisted Thistles team for Scotland.
We also have our team Chat page posted here.
Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!
Seems like you have jumped into a few projects already! Here are a few tips to keep in mind.
Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working with members of the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.
Sources are very important here on Wikitree, especially on Pre-1700 profiles. It is how we show where we got the info and help others find it too. Find out more about sources here and more detailed info here.
If you have any questions, click reply below this message and I will get back to you.

My name is Sarah and I’m the Project Coordinator for the Scotland Project. As you may have heard, we have merged the Scottish Clans project into the Scotland Project. I am contacting you today to find out if you are interested in continuing with us under this new format. Best Regards, Sarah Mason, Scotland PC
thank you for the email. I am interested in continuing under the new format. The main clan I have been working on is the MacFarlane clan.

We assume that you wish to continue contributing to the New Zealand Project.
Please click here to submit a short Member Interest Form to help us organize and coordinate collaboration.
Thank you!
Fiona ~ Volunteer Coordinator
As part of a revitalization effort for the New Zealand Project, we are checking-in with members to see if they are planning to remain active and make project-specific contributions in the upcoming months.
If you have other obligations at the moment and would like to be removed from the project at this time, you will always be welcome to rejoin if you find yourself with more time and interest later.
All of us at WikiTree would like to thank you for your contributions and hope that you are enjoying exploring your roots.
Please respond by commenting on my profile or sending a private message. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Fiona ~ Volunteer Coordinator

This is a courtesy e-mail to see how things are going. Are you enjoying WikiTree so far?
Have the tips in the New Member How-Tos been helpful? Most of us still have some questions after reviewing them.
I'm here to help with issues and questions about how WikiTree works. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page or send a private message.
Debi ~ WikiGreeter
PS If you get a "Page Not Found" error when clicking WikiTree email links, you can often find a working version in the public comments on your profile.
PPS Did you discover that the tags on your profile are clickable links to a page of other people who have that tag? You can add more, up to 20 total.
You mentioned that you are new to genealogy. No problem! Every genealogist is a beginner at some point. Take your time, keep track of sources, and ask questions. Check here for tips.
Take care
Karen ~ WikiTree Greeter
