Soldier Cary Cox Sr served with North Carolina during the American Revolution.

Cary Cox Sr is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A026978.

Cary Cox was born 1736 in Orange, Virginia. He passed away 24 March 1813 in Putnam, Georgia. [1]

Rev. Cary Cox and his oldest son William, served in North Carolina Line in Rev. War, where Carey had a finger shot off. He was a primitive Baptist Minister. His grave is marked in 1929 as being in Rev. War. The DAR says it credits his military service solely to the dispositions by his sons, Ichabod and Asa, in William's application (Affidavit in *S8225). No record has been found of Cary's service.
