Biography

James' name and birth were recorded in the Cox Family Bible but the page was torn and only the year (1823) was decipherable. [1]

James was not listed among the heirs of Philip Cox when land was sold to settle the estate. His name does not appear on any tax lists for Montgomery or Nicholas County, Kentucky. Therefore, it is assumed he died between 1823-1834, but his death was not recorded in the family Bible.
