He was the son of William Cox.^[1]He was born in June 1876 at Winchcombe, Gloucestershire, England.^[2]He married Rhoda Mary Delves Broughton, daughter of Rhoda Delves Broughton and Lt. Cdr. Vernon Lamonnerie Delves Broughton on the 12th of June 1913 at Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.^[3][4]
