Biography

Lydia married Levi Stearns in 1801 in Chatham, Carroll, New Hampshire, United States.[1]

Research Notes

This Lydia Cox may have been born in New Hampshire.

Lydia, daughter of William Cox & Mary, was born on 6 June 1786 in Chatham, Carroll, New Hampshire, United States.[2]

Or in Pembroke

Lydia, daughter of William Cox & Mary, was born on 29 August 1768 in Pembroke, Plymouth, Massachusetts Bay.[3]

Given the marriage in 1801 and birth of children recorded in 1802 through no 1818, the 1786 birth seems more likely the correct one.

Note: Lydia Cox Stearns was not married to John Danforth [Danforth-1328]. He was married to a Lydia but the dates don't line up.
