Biography

Fred was born on July 5, 1932. He was the son of Joseph Cox and Nell Smith. [1]

He enlisted in the Army on September 4, 1952 and served as a Private in Korea.[2]

Fred married his first wife in August 1953, they had one daughter. After the divorce, Fred was given full custody of their daughter. She lived in Bluff City with her Grandmother Nell Cox.[3]

On April 11, 1958 Fred married Elsie Peters in Bristol, Virginia.[4]

He passed away on June 5, 2004 and is buried in the Mountain Home National Cemetery in Johnson City, Tennessee.[5]
