Biography

Born c 1813. in Kentucky [1850 census] or Virginia [1860 census] [1] [2]

Marriage Kanawha County marriage record: "Reuben Con and Margaret Fellinger" were married on 11 July 1831by J.C. Hunter. Marriage record is listed by individual ministers, and the multiple years are recorded on the same page, thus not contemporaneous with the event. [3]
It is certain that Reuben's name was botched, and Margaret's mis-spelled. The index page for this entry (viewed at http://www.wvculture.org/vrr/va_view2.aspx?FilmNumber=521719&ImageNumber=167) looks more like "Cox." On the same line is an entry for "Alexr. Donalson" with an x likewise unusually made.
