George Scott Cox was born on June 3, 1830 in Launceston, Colony of Tasmania, son of Joseph Brooks Cox (1802–1874) and Matilda Rose Wise (~1802–1883).[1]
George died on November 30, 1903 in Sheffield, Tasmania, Australia, aged 73.[1] He was buried in Sheffield Cemetery, Sheffield, Tasmania.
